The Agawa Canyon Train Tour is considered one of North America's most popular train
excursions! Ride
the rails through the Laurentian wilderness filled with spectacular
waterfalls, pristine lakes, wildlife and incredible granite cliffs. This
one-day train excursion departs from Sault Ste. Marie, just minutes from the
Ojibway Hotel. Once inside Agawa Canyon Park you will have two hours
to enjoy a scenic hike to four sets of waterfalls or an opportunity to climb
250' up the canyon wall to the Lookout. For your dining enjoyment, the
train offers a dining car for breakfast and lunch service as well a licensed
beverage car. If you would like to enjoy a picnic-style lunch, we are
happy to coordinate a delicious box lunch for you to and enjoy aboard the
tour.
The Ca Choo Club was a national social club made up of hay fever sufferers
from around the world. Each year between August and mid-September,
members would travel to Sault Ste. Marie and the Ojibway Hotel to reunite
and enjoy the pollen-free air blown in from Lake Superior. The
group eventually disbanded with the development of popular allergy
medications.
Choice of four different casinos within 30 minutes of the hotel: Kewadin, Bay Mills,
Kings Club and the Sault Ste. Marie Provincial Casino (SSM, Ontario).
Complimentary shuttle service is available to many casino
locations.
