River of History Museum
Located on Ashmun Street, the beautiful River of History Museum illustrates the complete history of this culturally-important river and its people – from the days of glaciers through the 20th century. Discover the unique history from centuries ago when French fur traders and Native Americans met on the banks of the St. Mary’s River, forging a relationship that helped form the community.

Museum Ship Valley Camp
Built in 1917 and retired in 1966, the Museum Ship Valley Camp is 550 feet in length and now features a variety of displays that will educate and entertain the entire family.

Tower of History
Panoramic views of international proportion are found atop three viewing platforms at the Tower of History. Step onto the open air decks or glassed observation areas and watch as the St. Mary’s River unfolds before you. At a height of 210 feet, an express elevator escorts you to the top of the Soo, where a 20-mile view awaits you. Identification panels assist as you spot local landmarks, including the Soo Locks. Historic displays tell the story of the area’s origins.
